This NSAID worked well for acute pain, but got pulled becauseof reports of severe hepatic failure in patients who used Duract formore than 10 days or had pre-existing hepatic disease.
In fact, its labeling had a black-box warning not to take itfor more than 10 days because of the risk of hepatic toxicity.
